Italy #C42-7 Graf Zeppelin Visits Rome - 1933 Complete Mint Set of 6

In May 1933 the Graf Zeppelin made a flight from Germany to Rome in connection with Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels' first meeting with Mussolini. In Rome, Goebbels and Italian dignitaries boarded the airship for a trip over Rome. These six stamps, picturing the Zeppelin over Italian landmarks, were issued for use on mail carried by the Zeppelin to European and South American destinations. (Italy #C42-47)
