Before becoming King Edward VII, the eldest son of Queen Victoria was known as Albert Edward, Prince of Wales. The first stamp to picture a member of the British royal family other than the reigning monarch, this 17¢ issue, one of a handful of stamps issued by New Brunswick, pictures the young prince as a teenager.
