#755 - 3¢ Wisconsin - Imperforate without gum

Issued to celebrate the tercentenary of Jean Nicolet's landing at Red Banks. Nicolet, a French "woods runner", was searching for a passage to the Orient. Nicolet explored the Fox River and incorrectly reported it as a passage to the "South Sea". As part of the Farley Special Printings, it was issued imperforate and without gum. Scott 755 Wisconsin
