WW II Govt in Exile - 1943 Mint Sheet
After the German attack on Yugoslavia in 1941, the nation was split into various small entities controlled by the Axis powers, and the old Yugoslavian government led by King Peter II went into exile in London. The exiled government issued a small number of stamps to pay postage on mail transported on Royal Yugoslav Navy ships and on mail from the London office. This scarce commemorative sheet honors the 25th anniversary of the unification of Yugoslavia. (Yugoslavia #1K11)
