Legendary entertainer Bob Hope (1903-2003) has appeared in more than 70 films, with a career spanning nearly 80 years. Comedian, actor, singer, dancer, athlete, and author, it seemed as though there was nothing beyond Hope’s reach. An avid participator in the United Service Organizations, Hope performed in 57 USO shows over the course of 50 years, and considered one of his greatest honors to be when he was named an honorary veteran by Congress in 1997 in recognition of his dedication to the U.S. Armed Forces.
