Philippines #462a Booklet Pane - 1941 Mint Pane of 6

Depicting Philippine national hero Jose Rizal, this was one of the few stamps issued in booklet panes and the last booklet pane issued by the Philippines under U.S. administration. Issued on November 14, 1941, the U.S. would soon enter the war and the Philippine Islands were invaded by Japan just hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
