1929 Graf Zeppelin - Round the World Flight

Around the World in 22 Days! At 20 stories high and two city blocks long, the Graf Zeppelin airship cut a dramatic swath across the sky on its historic, first round-the-world flight. On board was a special manifest of covers with the designations Lakehurst, Friedrichshafen, Tokyo and Los Angeles, stamped in purple. While the stamps and cover formats may vary from those shown, all flown Zeppelin postcards or envelopes will have the official cachet and cancellation used on that flight.
