# 912 - 5¢ Luxembourg Flag

As part of the Nazi Westfeldzug, Luxembourg was invaded simultaneously with Belgium and the Netherlands on May 10, 1940. After successfully seizing Luxembourg, Hitler quickly instituted a series of decrees which banned all use of the French language, dissolved all political parties, and disbanded the Parliament. Luxembourg stayed under Nazi control until it was liberated by Allied forces in September of 1944. Scott 912 Luxembourg Flag
