#1908 - 20¢ Fire Pumper - coil
The first fire pumper was invented sometime around the second century B.C. by Ctesibius of Alexandria. In America, colonial laws required every house to have a bucket of water available to combat fires. In 1654 Boston acquired its first hand-pumped fire engine with Philadelphia following suit in 1719 and New York sometime later. Scott 1908 Fire Pumper
