#1904 - 10.9¢ Hansom Cab - coil
A hansom cab is a kind of horse-drawn carriage designed and patented in 1834 by Joseph Hansom. Built with an eye toward safety, the hansom cab had a low center of gravity and seated the driver above the passengers. When the hansom cab introduced the first clockwork mechanical taximeters to measure fares, people began to call them "taxicabs". Scott 1904 Hansom Cab
