Golf has been played since the 15th century in Scotland. The object of the game is to precisely club a tiny white ball hundreds of yards down an open green and into a small cup marked with a flag. Each swing of the club results in a point being added to the players score, and the player with the lowest score at the end of 9 or 18 holes is the winner. Golf is played all over the world, and courses feature rolling hills, water hazards, trees and sand traps as obstacles for the player to avoid.
