The steamship pictured on this 10¢ Pan-American commemorative stamp is the "St. Paul" built in this country and launched in 1895. It was the first ship to be taken over by the U.S. government in the 1898 Spanish-American War and it was used to transport troops and military supplies in our invasion of Cuba.

This unused 1901 10¢ issue may have minor imperfections such as disturbed gum, a bend or a straight edge, but it will be an attractive stamp with fine or better centering and a welcome addition to your collection - plus you save $75 off our regular price! And as always, your satisfaction is guaranteed. (US #299)
