Big hats, fast horses, and quick on the draw, these are the stars of Hollywood’s old west. Roy Rogers, the King of Cowboys, got his first major role by sneaking onto the set with a group of extras. Tom Mix gave the audience more action and excitement in the role of the cowboy. William Hart depicted the Wild West with a dedication to authenticity and established the concept of a character whose rough exterior betrayed their true heart of gold.
