Marking the mouth of the St. Joseph River, a pier extends almost 1,000 feet out into Lake Michigan. At the end of the pier sits the St. Joseph Lighthouse, which went into active duty guiding ships into the harbor in 1906. Although it is no longer a functioning lighthouse, it was purchased by local businessmen and turned into a brewpub and restaurant where tourists can enjoy a cold pint overlooking the beautiful blue water of St. Josephs Harbor.
