Devices that operate in space, such as NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope have the advantage of not having their imaging systems affected by phenomenon such as unnatural light pollution or electromagnetic radiation distortions. However, ground stations can be managed without the assistance of a space shuttle, and therefore have greater longevity.
