#1855 - 13ยข Crazy Horse

A leader of the Sioux Nation during a time of great duress, Tashunca-Uitco, or "Crazy Horse", stands as a figure of native opposition to white American oppression. Incensed by the massacre of the native village at Ash Hollow, Crazy Horse led Indian forces in several campaigns, most notably at Custer's last stand at Little Big Horn. Crazy Horse surrendered at Fort Robinson, Nebraska, and was later killed by a guard during an escape attempt. Scott 1855 Crazy Horse
